Detailed Description |
At 842 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Calamus Reservoir State Recreation Area, or 9 miles north of Taylor, moving south at 25 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include. Burwell, Taylor, Sargent, Calamus Reservoir State Recreation Area, Virginia Smith Dam, Hannamon Bayou Campground, Kent Diversion Dam State Wildlife Management Area, Homestead Knolls Campground, Horseshoe Bend Lake, Almeria, Nunda Shoal Campground, Deverre, Divide Hill, and Valley View Flat Campground. This includes Highway 183 between mile markers 115 and 142. |
