Brief Description Severe Thunderstorm Warning
Detailed Description At 4:04 p.m. PDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing up to nickel size hail and heavy rain. A severe thunderstorm located along highway 97C near Brenda Mines is moving north at a speed of 10 km/h. ### Local travel delays are likely. Driving conditions will likely be difficult. Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain. Road conditions are available at https://www.drivebc.ca/.
