Detailed Description |
At 208 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms were diminishing across the area, but have produced a swath of heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen in some locations. Additional storms to the west will move back in across the warned area over the next few hours. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include. Washington, Columbus Junction, Ainsworth, Grandview, Columbus City, Letts, Crawfordsville, Cotter, Wyman, Keota, Fredonia, West Chester, Haskins, Marr Park, Gladwin, Washington Airport, Louisa County Fairgrounds, Cairo, Washington County Fairgrounds and Sand Springs. Crooked Creek, Long Creek, Whiskey Run Creek. |
