Brief Description Flood Watch
Detailed Description * WHAT. Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE. South Central Mountains. This includes the Ruidoso area burn scars. * WHEN. Until 7 PM MDT this evening. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop Tuesday afternoon across the South Central Mountains. Slow-moving thunderstorms will be capable of rainfall rates exceeding one inch per hour, and may move down drainage basins, increasing the risk of flash flooding. Areas on and downstream of burn scars will be especially susceptible to flash flooding and debris flow. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
