Rainfall Warning
Detailed Description
Rain, heavy at times is expected. A few showers began overnight in Iqaluit as a low pressures system approaches from the south. The rain will will intensify late today, then slowly abate on Sunday. Total rainfall amounts near 25 mm are expected by Sunday morning. Heavy, wet snow is also likely over the higher terrain around Iqualuit beginning late this afternoon, continuing in the region tonight. ### Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Be prepared for possible winter conditions at higher elevations. Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.
