Brief Description Flood Warning
Detailed Description The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill MO has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Missouri. Kansas. Indian Creek at Stateline Road Leawood affecting Jackson and Johnson Counties. Indian Creek at Overland Park affecting Jackson and Johnson Counties. * WHAT. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Indian Creek at Overland Park. * WHEN. Until this evening. * IMPACTS. At 8.0 feet, Low-lying land along the creek begins to flood, including a paved bike and walking path. At 14.3 feet, Flood waters threaten basements along Lowell and Antioch road. At 15.1 feet, Flood waters reach Antioch Road 600 feet north of Indian Creek. Water also reaches buildings near the creek along Antioch Road West 106th Circle and El Monte cul de sac. At 16.5 feet, Flood waters approach homes along Conser Street. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 2:55 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 9.8 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage early this morning to a crest of 15.7 feet this morning. It will then fall below flood stage this morning. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
