| Detailed Description | The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Minnesota. Minnesota River at Morton affecting Redwood and Renville Counties. .The 2 to 4 inches of rain that has fallen during the last 24 hours over southwestern Minnesota has led to a sharp rise in area rivers. Rivers should continue to rise over the next day or two as runoff and/or flow makes its way downstream. However, rivers look to begin to fall again afterwards. * WHAT. Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Minnesota River at Morton. * WHEN. Until Tuesday afternoon. * IMPACTS. At 23.0 feet, Riverside Rd and Front Street flooded in North Redwood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 600 PM CDT Saturday, the stage was 21.1 feet. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 600 PM CDT Saturday was 21.1 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.4 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Monday evening. - Flood stage is 21.0 feet. - Flood History. This crest compares to a previous crest of 21.4 feet on 05/31/2004. |
