Brief Description Severe Thunderstorm Warning
Detailed Description At 10:19 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing strong wind gusts and heavy rain. This line of severe thunderstorms is located from 20 kilometres west of Black Sturgeon Lake to 20 kilometres northeast of Armstrong, moving east at 80 km/h. Hazard: 90 km/h wind gusts and local rainfall amounts near 40 mm. Locations impacted include: Armstrong, Black Sturgeon River Provincial Park, Nipigon, Ruby Lake Provincial Park, Lake Nipigon Provincial Park, Beardmore and Auden. ### Local utility outages are likely. Damage to roofs, fences, soft shelters or trees is likely. Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
