| Detailed Description | * WHAT. Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. Portions of northwest Louisiana, including the following parishes, southwestern De Soto and northwestern Sabine and northeast Texas, including the following counties, central Gregg, Harrison, southwestern Marion, Panola, northeastern Rusk, northeastern Shelby and central Upshur. * WHEN. Until 945 AM CDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 650 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Longview, Marshall, Carthage, White Oak, Center, Gilmer, Hallsville, Jefferson, Logansport, Tatum, Tenaha, Ore City, Clarksville City, Beckville, Joaquin, East Mountain, Elysian Fields, Deberry, Woodlawn and Harleton. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood |
