| Detailed Description | * WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE. Portions of east central and northeast Kansas, including the following counties, in east central Kansas, Anderson, Coffey, Douglas, Franklin, Geary, Lyon, Morris, Osage, Shawnee and Wabaunsee. In northeast Kansas, Jefferson. * WHEN. From 1 AM CDT Sunday through Monday morning. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - A couple of rounds of thunderstorms are expected this evening through Monday morning. The first round comes this evening into Sunday morning with the second round coming Sunday evening into Monday morning. Rainfall rates of 1 to 3 inches per hour are likely within these storms which could lead to flooding, especially if storms move over the same areas. A general 1 to 3 inches of rainfall is expected with localized areas of 3 inches or more possible. |
