| Detailed Description |
* WHAT. Minor flooding of low lying and poor drainage areas is expected. * WHERE. Portions of Middlesex and New London counties in southern Connecticut. * WHEN. Until 445 PM EDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 252 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms capable of causing flooding in low lying and poor drainage areas. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected. - Some locations that could experience flooding include. Colchester, East Hampton, Salem, Chester, East Haddam, Haddam, Lebanon, Killingworth, Bozrah, Franklin, Millington, Moodus and Higganum. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood |
