Brief Description SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT
Detailed Description 7:54 PM EDT Thursday 25 April 2024 Special Weather Statement in effect for: Sault Ste. Marie - Superior East Significant rainfall is expected this weekend. Hazards: Total rainfall amounts of 20 to 40 mm. Locally higher amounts in thunderstorms. Timing: Beginning late Friday night and ending Sunday morning. Discussion: Rain will begin late Friday night and continue into Sunday morning. The heaviest rain is expected to fall Saturday into Saturday night. Locally higher amounts are likely in thunderstorms Saturday afternoon and evening. Impacts: Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. For information concerning flooding, please consult your local Conservation Authority or Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry office.
