11:05 AM EDT Tuesday 21 May 2024 Special Weather Statement in effect for: Marathon - Schreiber Heavy rain and strong winds beginning tonight. Hazards: Total rainfall amounts of 30 to 50 mm. Wind gusts of 70 km/h. Timing: Tonight through Wednesday. Discussion: Heavy rain is expected to begin tonight as a strong low pressure system moves into the area. The heavy rain will taper to light rain Wednesday morning before ending Wednesday afternoon. In addition, strong easterly winds gusting up to 70 km/h will develop tonight and then become southerly overnight or early Wednesday morning. Winds will diminish Wednesday evening. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. Utility outages may occur.
