Flash Flood Warning |
| Detailed Description |
At 1028 PM CDT, Doppler radar, automated rain gauges, and DOT cameras indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain. Street flooding and significant ponding of water on some roadways in northern and central Milwaukee County. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE. Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include. Milwaukee, West Allis, Wauwatosa, New Berlin, Brookfield, Greenfield, Menomonee Falls, Oak Creek, Muskego, South Milwaukee, Cudahy, Whitefish Bay, Greendale, Brown Deer, St. Francis, Hales Corners, Fox Point, Elm Grove, West Milwaukee and Franklin. |
