| Detailed Description | * WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of Deep South Texas, including the following county, Cameron. * WHEN. Until 300 PM CDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 1153 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Rancho Viejo, Cameron Park, Downtown Brownsville, Olmito, Southmost, Port Of Brownsville, Brownsville, Lincoln Park, Vela Middle School, Brownsville Event Center, Brownsville Golf Center, Gallegos Elementary School, Northside Transfer Station, Sunrise Mall, Valley Regional Medical Center, Hanna High School, Driscoll Childrens Hospital, B I S D Administration Building, Pullam Elementary School and Brownsville Public Library Main Branch. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood |
