| Detailed Description |
At 749 PM CDT, Recent thunderstorms dropped between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain throughout the warned area. Flash flooding was observed around 4PM to 5PM, but the rain has since ended and we should start to see waters recede over the next 1 to 2 hours. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include. Vinton, Urbana, Shellsburg, Garrison, Brandon, Mount Auburn, Vinton Memorial Airport, Rodgers Park, Benton County Fairgrounds, Hoefle-Dulin Park, Minne Estema Park, Benton City Park, Cheney and Wildcat Bluff Park. This includes Interstate 380 between mile markers 40 and 49. |
