A period of very warm and humid weather continues. Time span: ending tonight or Friday. Minimum temperature tonight: 16 to 19 degrees Celsius. Maximum temperatures Friday: 26 to 28 degrees Celsius (Humidex 34 to 36). Locations: central and northeastern Newfoundland. Remarks: Although Friday will not be as hot as today, recent forecast guidance indicates that temperatures or Humidex values could still come close to warning levels in parts of the region. As a result, the Heat Warning remains in effect at this time and will be re-evaluated as more data becomes available. ### Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
