Brief Description Storm Surge Warning
Detailed Description Storm surge is expected to return at each high tide until Wednesday. The most significant event will occur on Tuesday morning. Generally, the water level is expected to reach 15 to 25 cm above highest astronomical tide. On Tuesday morning, a more significant event is expected during high tide, where water levels may to reach 40 to 50 cm above highest astronomical tide. Moderate flooding is likely. Water levels will slowly recede on Wednesday. These conditions can cause damage to infrastructure near the coast, including boats beached or anchored along the shoreline. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to NTstorm@ec.gc.ca or post on X using #NTstorm. ### These warnings are issued when water levels pose a flooding threat to coastal areas.
