| Detailed Description | The National Weather Service in Des Moines IA has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Iowa. Shell Rock River at Shell Rock affecting Black Hawk, Bremer and Butler Counties. * WHAT. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. The Shell Rock River at Shell Rock, or from Flood Creek near Clarksville to the Cedar River. * WHEN. From Friday afternoon to late Monday morning. * IMPACTS. At 13.0 feet, Part of S Lake St is closed. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 3:45 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 10.4 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage early tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 12.8 feet early Saturday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Monday morning. - Flood stage is 12.0 feet. |
