Brief Description Severe Thunderstorm Watch
Detailed Description Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain. What: Wind gusts near 90 km/h. Up to quarter sized hail. Heavy rain leading to total rainfall amounts of up to 50 mm over a few locations. Risk of a tornado. When: Continuing tonight. Additional information: A trough of low pressure will continue to generate scattered thunderstorms tonight. Some of these thunderstorms may reach severe thresholds. ### Local utility outages are possible. Damage to roofs, fences, branches or soft shelters is possible. Heavy rain can cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.
