| Detailed Description | At 4:41 a.m. CDT (4:41 a.m. EST, 5:41 a.m. EDT), Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain. This cluster of severe thunderstorms is located near Kawnipi Lake, moving northeast at 50 km/h. Hazard: 100 km/h wind gusts. Nickel to quarter size hail. Heavy downpour of 50 mm. Locations impacted include: Quetico Provincial Park, Quetico, Crooked Lake, Sturgeon Lake, Russell Lake, Chatterton Lake, Keats Lake, Shelley Lake, Bud Lake, Kawnipi Lake, Eva Lake and McKenzie Lake. ### Local utility outages are likely. Large hail may cause significant damage and injury. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain. |
