| Detailed Description | At 845 PM CDT, trained weather spotters reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area, which is leading to street flooding in parts of Clinton Iowa. Between 1 to 2 feet of standing water was reported along 16th Avenue North in Clinton. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE. Trained spotters reported. IMPACT. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include. Clinton, Maquoketa, Morrison, Mount Carroll, Fulton, Savanna, Lanark, Garden Plain, Milledgeville, Preston, Fairhaven, Shannon, Sabula, Chadwick, Delmar, Miles, Andrew, Charlotte, Welton and Coleta. |
