Brief Description Flood Warning
Detailed Description The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in North Carolina. Neuse River Near Clayton affecting Johnston County. * WHAT. Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Neuse River near Clayton. * WHEN. Until late tonight. * IMPACTS. At 9.0 feet, Minor flooding begins. Minor overflow occurs on both banks. Water reaches the edge of the Neuse River Greenway trail. At 10.0 feet, Upstream of the gage site, the Neuse River Greenway at Covered Bridge Road begins to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 4:15 AM EDT Tuesday the stage was 10.7 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight and continue falling to 4.2 feet Saturday evening. - Flood stage is 9.0 feet. - Flood History. This crest compares to a previous crest of 9.3 feet on 10/12/2018. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
