| Detailed Description |
* WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE. Portions of northeast and northern West Virginia, including the following counties, in northeast West Virginia, northwestern Preston. In northern West Virginia, southeastern Marion and eastern Monongalia. * WHEN. Until 1030 PM EDT. * IMPACTS. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 621 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported slow moving thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Morgantown, Westover, Kingwood, Star City, Granville, Brookhaven, Reedsville, Masontown, Albright, Brandonville, Bruceton Mills, Cheat Lake, Browns Chapel, Gladesville, Laurel Run, Valley Point, Booth, Osage and Clifton Mills. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood |
