Brief Description Flood Advisory
Detailed Description * WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of Big Bend Florida, including the following counties, Leon, Liberty and Wakulla. * WHEN. Until 900 PM EDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 548 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 3 and 4 inches of rain is estimated to have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are possible over the area. This additional rain will likely result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Crawfordville, Smith Creek, Jewel Fire Tower, Poplar Camp, East Camp and Arran. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
