Detailed Description |
FFWDVN The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for. Southwestern Muscatine County in east central Iowa. Central Keokuk County in southeastern Iowa. Northwestern Louisa County in southeastern Iowa. Washington County in southeastern Iowa. * Until 915 AM CDT Sunday. * At 311 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen, especially around Keota to Washington. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE. Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include. Washington, Sigourney, Columbus Junction, Wellman, Ainsworth, Conesville, Columbus City, Crawfordsville, Keswick, South English, Harper, Kinross, Hayesville, Cotter, Wyman, Keota, Fredonia, West Chester, Webster and Washington County Fairgrounds. German Creek, West Fork Crooked Creek, South Fork Long Creek, North Fork Long Creek, Goose Creek and Whiskey Run. |
