| Detailed Description |
* WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. Portions of southwest Iowa, including the following counties, Mills and Pottawattamie and east central Nebraska, including the following counties, Douglas and Sarpy. * WHEN. Until 900 AM CDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 507 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain has already fallen with additional rainfall possible through 7 AM. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Omaha, Council Bluffs, Bellevue, Papillion, Ralston, Gretna, Boys Town, Offutt AFB, Millard, La Vista, Carter Lake, Springfield, Crescent, Aksarben, South Omaha, Midtown, Benson, Walnut Creek Recreation Area, Florence and Prairie Queen Recreation Area. |
