| Detailed Description | Heavy rain expected today. What: Rainfall amounts of 30 to 50 mm. Locally higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. When: Beginning this morning and ending this evening. Additional information: Heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected today as a low pressure system tracks east across the region. The ground, already near saturation, has little ability to absorb further rainfall. For information concerning flooding, please consult your local Conservation Authority or Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources office. Visit Ontario.ca/floods for the latest details. ### Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
