Flood Advisory
Detailed Description
* WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of northeast Nevada, including the following county, Elko. * WHEN. Until 615 PM PDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 308 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in Jakes Burn Scar. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Jakes Burn Scar is the most likely place to experience minor flooding. This includes the following streams and drainages. Squaw Creek, Summit Creek, Brush Creek, Spring Branch, Milligan Creek, Buffalo Creek, Secret Creek, South Fork Little Humboldt River and Frazer Creek. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.2 to 0.7 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include.
