| Detailed Description | Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain. Hazards: Wind gusts up to 100 km/h. Nickel to toonie sized hail. Heavy downpours producing 50 mm of rainfall. Timing: This afternoon into this evening. ### Local utility outages are possible. Damage to roofs, fences, branches or soft shelters is possible. There is a risk of injury. Heavy rain can cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Strong wind gusts can damage trees, buildings and overturn vehicles. Large hail can cause significant damage and injury. Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.
