Flood Warning
Detailed Description
Heavy rain from thunderstorms Sunday evening lead to flash flooding in and near St. Francis. Flooding, especially in low lying area, is expected to continue across the county until the morning. * WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE. A portion of northwest Kansas, including the following county, Cheyenne. * WHEN. Until 930 AM CDT Monday. * IMPACTS. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 250 AM CDT, emergency management reported ongoing flooding across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. St. Francis, Bird City and Wheeler.
