Detailed Description The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Virginia. Appomattox River Above Farmville affecting Cumberland, Prince Edward and Amelia Counties. For the Appomattox Basin. including Farmville, Mattoax, Matoaca. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Appomattox River above Farmville. * WHEN. From Wednesday morning to early tomorrow afternoon. * IMPACTS. At 16.0 feet, Water approaches back of homes on Old Plank Rd, upstream of gage. The Riverside Lot at Elm Street and North Main Street begins to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 10:35 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 12.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.0 feet tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - Flood History. This crest compares to a previous crest of 16.1 feet on 12/16/2018. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
