| Detailed Description | Storm surge is expected this morning at Herschel Island / Qikiqtaruk Territorial park. The highest water levels will be 15 to 20 cm above highest astronomical tide. Moderate flooding is possible. These conditions can cause damage to infrastructure near the coast, including boats beached or anchored along the shoreline. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to ntstorm@ec.gc.ca or post on X using #ntstorm. ### Expect some damage in areas directly exposed to waves. These warnings are issued when water levels pose a flooding threat to coastal areas. |
