From noon EDT today through this evening. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Showers and thunderstorms will develop and move across the area this afternoon to evening. Thunderstorms will be capable of producing very heavy rainfall, with amounts of 1 to 2 inches in 30 minutes possible. Widespread totals around 1 inch are forecast, with up to 2 to 3 inches of rain possible under the strongest storms.
