* WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE. A portion of northeast Missouri, including the following counties, Clark and Scotland. * WHEN. Through Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Thunderstorms are expected across the watch area today, and again tonight into Sunday morning. Very high rainfall rates of 2 inches or greater in a short time are possible, which could lead to flash flooding particularly in urban areas. In addition, with the potential for repeated rounds of storms, some locations could receive 2 to 4 inches of rain with locally higher amounts possible. With saturated soils from previous rainfall, these rainfall rates and rainfall amounts will lead to an increased risk for flash flooding.
