Brief Description Tropical Storm Warning
Detailed Description * WHAT. Along the coastal waters, north to northeast winds 30 to 35 kt with gusts up to 45 kt and waves 12 to 18 ft. Across the Chesapeake Bay, north to northeast winds 25 to 30 kt with gusts up to 40 kt and waves 5 to 8 ft. For the Currituck sound and the lower James river, north to northeast winds 25 to 30 kt with gusts to 40 kt and waves 2 to 5 ft. * WHERE. Portions of Atlantic coastal waters, the Chesapeake Bay, the lower James river, and the Currituck sound. * WHEN. Tropical Storm force winds possible until Thursday evening. * IMPACTS. Tropical storm force winds and hazardous waves will capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.
