* WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. Portions of central, east central, and south central Nebraska, including the following counties, in central Nebraska, Merrick and Nance. In east central Nebraska, Polk. In south central Nebraska, Hamilton. * WHEN. Until 1100 AM CDT Thursday. * IMPACTS. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems in area cities/towns. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 1043 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to earlier and ongoing thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring in parts of the warned area, due to between 1 and 4 inches of earlier rain. Additional overnight rainfall of generally 1 to 3 inches are possible in much of the Warning area, which could lead to new flooding or worsen ongoing flooding issues. This Warning effectively replaces the Flood Advisory that had been in effect for much of the same area. - This includes, but is not limited to, the following streams and drainages. Horse Creek, Beaver Creek, Moores Creek, Prairie Creek, Clear Creek, Council Creek, Warm Slough, Lincoln Creek, Silver Creek, Elk Creek, Plum Creek, Prairie Slough. - Some locations that could experience flooding include.
