Brief Description Severe Thunderstorm Watch
Detailed Description Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain. A trough of low pressure has triggered scattered thunderstorms over east central Saskatchewan this evening. Some of these thunderstorms may reach severe thresholds as they track into west central Manitoba. The threat for severe thunderstorms will diminish overnight tonight. ### Heavy rain can cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Strong wind gusts can damage trees, buildings and overturn vehicles. Large hail can cause significant damage and injury. Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.
