Brief Description Flood Watch
Detailed Description * WHAT. Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible due to thunderstorms. * WHERE. Portions of California, including the following areas, Greater Lake Tahoe Area, Lassen-Eastern Plumas-Eastern Sierra Counties and Mono County and western Nevada, including the following areas, Greater Lake Tahoe Area, Greater Reno-Carson City-Minden Area and Mineral and Southern Lyon Counties. * WHEN. From noon PDT today through this evening. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. This includes the Davis, Conner, Bear, Mill, Inn, and Tamarack burn scars. Flooding may also occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Heavy rainfall over the last several days has saturated the ground within the region allowing for additional rainfall today to cause flash flooding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
