Storm Surge Warning
Detailed Description
Storm surge is expected at times this week into the weekend. Maximum water levels have the potential to reach 15 to 30 cm above highest astronomical tide. Moderate flooding is possible. Over the next 48 hours, the worst conditions are expected during high tide Thursday morning. On Saturday a more significant event will occur starting Saturday morning and peaking Saturday evening with high tide. Water levels could reach 20 to 35 cm above highest astronomical tide. Moderate flooding is possible. These conditions can cause damage to infrastructure near the coast, including boats beached or anchored along the shoreline.
