A long duration heat event continues, with daytime high temperatures ranging between 29 and 33 degrees Celsius. Overnight lows will vary greatly, generally ranging between 10 and 16 degrees Celsius. Despite some locations even dropping into the single digits at night, the effects of the daytime heat day over day may be cause for concern. On Sunday, temperatures are expected to be cooler over northern parts of the province. However, some parts of Alberta will see relatively hot conditions next week as well. ### Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
