Brief Description Flood Watch
Detailed Description Moisture will once again increase across the Sacramento Mountains overnight. Daytime heating and easterly winds will result in scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms over the area on Monday. Due to the recent rains in the Sacramento Mountains over the last week and several flood prone burn scars, additional flash flooding is possible. * WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE. A portion of south central New Mexico, including the following areas, East Slopes Sacramento Mountains Below 7500 Feet, Sacramento Mountains Above 7500 Feet and West Slopes Sacramento Mountains Below 7500 Feet. * WHEN. From Monday afternoon through Monday evening. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Moderate to heavy rainfall over the Sacramento Mountains over the last week and expected again Monday will result in additional flash flooding in the area, especially on the recent burn scars. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
