Brief Description Yellow Warning - Cold -
Detailed Description A prolonged period of very cold wind chills is expected. What: Wind chill values reaching minus 50. When: Now through to Friday morning. Where: Whitehorse, Teslin, Dawson, Mayo, Pelly - Carmacks, Beaver Creek, Faro - Ross River, Kluane Lake and Haines Junction. Remarks: An Arctic high over the area will continue to bring clear skies and very cold conditions. Light winds combined with these temperatures will result in wind chill values near minus 50 at times. The extreme cold conditions are expected to persist until Friday morning. ### Extreme cold puts everyone at risk. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
