Brief Description Flood Warning
Detailed Description FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM PDT FRIDAY. * WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive runoff in the Meadow Valley Wash continues. * WHERE. A portion of south central Nevada, including the following county, Lincoln. * WHEN. Until 500 PM PDT Friday Mar 24. * IMPACTS. Flooding of the Meadow Valley Wash, and low-lying and flood-prone locations adjacent to the wash will continue between Spring Valley State Park and Elgin. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Expect areas of slow moving or standing water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 252 PM PDT, gauge reports indicate the Meadow Valley Wash remains above flood stage due to recent rains and ongoing snowmelt. This has caused water to pass through the emergency spillway at Echo Dam. Flooding is ongoing. - This includes the following streams and drainages. Immigration Wash and Meadow Valley Wash. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Caliente, Ursine, Panaca, Kershaw-Ryan Campground, Echo Canyon State Park, Meadow Valley Campground, Horsethief Gulch Campground, Eagle Valley, Elgin, State Route 322 and 317, and other low-lying areas adjacent to the Meadow Valley Wash between Spring Valle State Park and Elgin. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
