10:44 a.m. PDT Friday 9 June 2023 Special Air Quality Statement in effect for: Williston Smoke is causing or expected to cause poor air quality and reduced visibility. Smoky Skies Bulletin - June 9, 2023 These regions are being impacted or are likely to be impacted by wildfire smoke over the next 24-48 hours. This bulletin will remain in effect until Monday June 12, 2023 unless conditions change. The bulletin can be accessed online at https://www.gov.bc.ca/airqualityadvisories Wildfire smoke can be harmful to everyone?s health even at low concentrations. Continue to take actions to protect your health and reduce exposure to smoke. People with lung disease (such as asthma) or heart disease, older adults, children, pregnant people, and people who work outdoors are at higher risk of experiencing health effects caused by wildfire smoke. Be sure to check on people in your care and those around you who may be more susceptible to smoke.
