| Detailed Description |
.OVERVIEW. Persistent trade-wind swell will combine with a long- period north-northeast swell to maintain hazardous surf on Pohnpei, Kosrae and Majuro through at least Friday night. . HIGH SURF WARNING IS CANCELLED. . HIGH SURF ADVISORY IN EFFECT FOR NORTH AND EAST FACING REEFS. Dangerous surf of 13 to 15 feet along north and east facing reefs has dropped to hazardous levels of 11 to 13 feet this morning. Surf should subside further to between 9 and 12 feet on Friday and might fall below hazardous levels early Saturday morning. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS. Avoid venturing near reef lines facing north and east. Large breaking waves can knock you down and cause serious injuries. Strong rip currents will be life threatening. |
